Sales ManagerDauch is seeking a Sales Manager to join our world-class team. This role is located at our World Headquarters in Detroit, MI. The Sales Manager is responsible for supporting all commercial activities related to the Dauch domestic OEM group for Forgings and Machined components. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations.Job Description:Plan, coordinate and manage the promotion and sales of Dauch products to assigned customers, ensuring that Dauch is appropriately visible as a supplier of forged products, and is included in new business opportunitiesResponsible for managing the customer quote process, including coordination of cross-functional team and preparing formal quotation for the customer.Development of OEM Long Range Product Plans (LRPPs) and thus Dauch target markets.Monitor competitive products and competitors marketing activities.Participate in development and maintenance of customer/sales database.Service current customers by maintaining rapport; making periodic visits; auditing for new opportunities; responding to requests; resolving problems.Identify new customers by studying sales statistics; estimating sales volume; qualifying potential customers.Develop new customers by establishing new distribution channels; explaining product potential to retailers; identifying possibilities for product improvements and new products.Accomplish sales objectives by obtaining and negotiating contracts.All other duties as assigned.Required Skills and Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience.Knowledge and understanding of automotive business and basic business finance.5+ years experience in sales/marketing of OEM components, (Toyota/Honda/Nissan experience a plus)Experience with sales processes and balancing customer relationshipsAbility to travel for customer meetings (up to 20%).About Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
