Senior Business Analyst (GIS)

6-month assignment

Onsite 4 days/week, 1 remote day

Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Business Analyst (GIS) to assess business needs, design enterprise GIS solutions, improve integrations, and drive data-focused strategies that support operational efficiency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate GIS applications, data, and processes for improvement and modernization
Translate business needs into GIS solution and integration requirements
Develop roadmaps, standards, and technical recommendations
Improve GIS integrations with enterprise systems
Support data quality, governance, and reuse
Identify risks, dependencies, and practical mitigation strategies
Prepare clear documentation and presentations for leadership and stakeholders

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in a related field
7+ years of GIS, business analysis, and solution design experience
Expertise in ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, GIS services, APIs, and spatial data
Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, relational/spatial databases, and REST APIs
Experience integrating GIS with enterprise platforms
Strong communication, documentation, and multi-project management skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with Python, JavaScript, cloud technologies, and GIS automation
Esri certification
ArcGIS or enterprise asset management certification
Experience with HRMS, ERP, and asset management systems
