Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly close process, with primary responsibility for revenue recognition, cash management, and month-end close reporting across our portfolio of physician practices. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with practice operations, revenue cycle, and FP&A teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow within a dynamic, PE-backed healthcare services platform.This position will be 3 days in office/2-remoteResponsibilitiesRevenue AccountingRecord and reconcile monthly revenue and accounts receivable across multiple physician practice entities, ensuring accuracy and completenessAnalyze revenue trends and investigate variances against budget/forecastEnsure revenue recognition is in accordance with GAAP and company policyCash ManagementPerform daily/weekly cash monitoring and reconciliation across multiple bank accounts and entitiesPrepare and maintain cash flow reporting and forecasting supportMonth-End Close & ReportingPrepare and post journal entries for assigned areas, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassesPerform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timelyAssist in preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for management and PE sponsor reportingIdentify and drive process improvements to shorten close timelines and increase accuracyOtherSupport internal and external audit requests, including PBC schedulesAssist with integration of newly acquired practices onto accounting systems and processesMaintain and enhance internal controls in a multi-entity, PE-backed environmentAd hoc financial analysis and special projects assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, required5–7 years of progressive accounting experience; healthcare, physician practice management, multi-site services experience, or public accounting experience preferredPrivate equity-backed or portfolio company experience a plusStrong knowledge of GAAP, particularly as it relates to revenue recognitionAdvanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) preferredStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with both finance and clinical operations stakeholdersHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity in handling financial dataTogether Women's Health is a private equity-backed platform supporting women's health physician practices.
