You'll get to:Lead mold setting activities according to the production plan and safety guidelines.Prepare molds for production and ensure they are properly identified and located.Implement and follow the mold preventive maintenance plan using e-maintenance software.Maintain accurate records of mold maintenance and repairs.Coordinate and oversee the work of mold maintenance technicians and apprentices to ensure adherence to production and maintenance plans.Develop and train apprentices and technicians in mold maintenance, repair and the use of measuring tool room equipment (e.g., micrometers, height gauges, EDM, welding machines, surface grinders, lathes).Verify part and mold drawings to ensure correct setup for planned part numbers.Lead and perform inspections of new molds, ensuring all connections are compatible with molding machines.Collaborate with production and quality teams to examine defective parts or molds, determine root causes, and implement repairs or maintenance.Support process technicians in troubleshooting part defects and optimizing mold cycles during production.Build or modify assembly fixtures and assist tools as needed.Maintain a clean and organized tool room in accordance with 5S standards.Complete and maintain safety checklists for equipment such as cranes and forkliftsEnsure all team members follow safety guidelines within the tool room area.Stay current with technological advancements relevant to the department.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager to meet business needs.Who You AreYou always strive to do a good job…but wouldn't it be great if you could do your job and do a world of good?
