Field Service Engineer 1

GE HealthCare seeks a Field Service Engineer to provide preventative maintenance and technical support for CT and Nuclear Medicine equipment in Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. The role involves learning repair procedures, assisting experienced engineers, troubleshooting customer issues, and building client relationships.

Responsibilities

Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on assigned equipment
Assist senior field engineers with equipment installations and complex troubleshooting
Independently troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment issues within one year
Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle service documentation and parts ordering
Identify sales opportunities, recommend value-added services, and maintain awareness of market trends

Requirements

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent military education
Minimum 2 years servicing electronic or electro-mechanical equipment if only high school diploma
Valid driver's license required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web applications
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Willingness to travel for training
Preferred: Technical experience with CT or Nuclear Medicine equipment
