The Nurse Manager at the Orange County Correctional Facility is responsible for overseeing the nursing staff of Corrections Health Services and assuring consistent quality care is provided to the inmate population of the Orange County Jail.

Job Description

General Functions :
Responsible for overseeing the nursing staff of Corrections Health Services and assuring consistent quality care is provided to the inmate population of the Orange County Jail.
Representative Duties/Assignments :

• Directs and oversees all activities of the nursing staff assuring adequate staffing coverage.
• Responsible for successful operations of each clinical unit, ensuring quality care is provided to the patients.
• Responsible for administrative functions including staff development, teambuilding, recruitment and hiring, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Collects, analyses and reports statistical data including overtime, FML use, Agency budgets and hours. Reports findings and makes recommendations to Division management.
• Performs other duties of a comparable level as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Nursing or related field and five years nursing experience to include two years in a supervisory capacity. Must possess current Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida

Preferences :
Experience in a Correctional environment

Experience in personnel issues including hiring and performance management

Pay Grade: 022 - From $42.27 to $54.95
