Staff Accountant

Accounting AssistantWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our accounting operations. This role will assist with accounts payable and receivable, maintain financial records, and help ensure smooth day-to-day accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.This position offers a growth path into a Staff Accountant role for candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a willingness to learn.We are looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and keeping financial records clean and well-documented.Assist with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processingMaintain and monitor inventory and financial recordsCollect and organize supporting documentation for accounting transactionsPerform data entry, document scanning, filing, and recordkeepingMaintain organized financial files and documentationAssist in resolving discrepancies related to invoices, receipts, and financial recordsSupport the accounting team with additional administrative and accounting tasks as neededStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilitiesComfortable working with numbers, receipts, and financial documentsProficiency with computer programs including email, spreadsheets, and word processingPositive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environmentExperience with QuickBooksPrevious experience in the transportation industryExperience working with Transportation Management Systems$36,000 – $45,000 per year, depending on experience.Strong performers may advance into Staff Accountant or Accounting Specialist roles with increased responsibilities and compensation.To apply, please include a brief note describing your experience with accounting software and data organization.
