Job Overview Radiologic Technologist – Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, Fort Worth. This position requires a rotating shift primarily on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00PM to 7:30AM. The role combines high‑volume diagnostic imaging with a focus on patient safety, quality, and inter‑disciplinary collaboration in a Magnet‑designated, full‑service hospital setting. Responsibilities Perform complex radiographic procedures, considering age‑related criteria and developmental needs. Explain exam procedures to patients or guardians, ensuring informed consent and comfort. Process and manipulate images, analyze quality, troubleshoot, and repeat procedures as needed. Assess patients’ emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive, and psychosocial conditions. Establish age‑appropriate patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary rehab disciplines to meet regulatory requirements. Prepare the exam room (e.g., suction, oxygen, supplies) and verify physician orders and requisitions with time‑out procedures. Handle patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes, or other devices, monitoring during imaging. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment. Administer contrast media and other medications per medication administration guidelines. Qualifications & Experience Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required) or an associate degree (preferred). Minimum of one year of radiologic technologist experience (preferred). Strong communication, computer, and venipuncture skills. Licenses & Certifications Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (CMRT) – recognized by TDH or TMB (required). American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (required). Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – obtained prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly (required). Benefits 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
