Job#: 3052213 Job Description: Financial Analyst Location: Reston, VA (Onsite) Pay Rate: $34/hour W2 Shift: M-F regular business hours (40 hours a week) Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension) Apex Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst to support a global technology organization focused on cybersecurity and digital risk management initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and cross-functional business partners in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with Finance, Procurement, and business leaders to monitor spending, support forecasting activities, manage financial operations, and provide visibility into budget performance across multiple initiatives. Responsibilities Analyze budget versus actual spending and identify trends, risks, and variances Support forecasting, accruals, budgeting, and financial reporting processes Track project and vendor spend against approved budgets, purchase orders, and contracts Assist with invoice processing, purchase requisitions, and financial documentation Partner with Finance and Procurement teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting Consolidate and analyze financial data to support business decisions and planning activities Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and key stakeholders Help identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, or business operations Strong understanding of financial analysis, variance reporting, and budget management Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with SAP, Ariba, or similar financial systems preferred Experience with Power BI or other reporting and analytics tools is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across multiple teams What We're Looking For Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Experience supporting technology, IT, or enterprise business functions is a plus Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
