Position Details:

• Day Shift Hours: Mon - Fri - 7:30am 4:30pm (hours may vary)
• NO CALL, Weekends, or Holidays
• Treat & simulation
• Ability to operate the TrueBeam linac, teach students, present current case
• Radiology, Medical Imaging, Cancer Care, Radiation Therapy, RT(T), Radiation Therapy & Dosimetry, Radiation Oncology
• Certified Radiation Therapist
• Ability to operate TrueBeam linac

Requirements:

• Completed an accredited Certified Radiation Therapy program
• Board Certified by the ARRT
• RT(T)
• Certified Radiation Therapist
• 2 years or more experience

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24-hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Radiation Department is an outpatient department providing radiation therapy to not only outpatients but hospitalized patients as well. The majority of patients are in need of treatment for malignant tumors. On occasion, a benign disease will be treated and histologically benign tumors, which behave in a malignant fashion, are also treated. Patients range in age from 18 years and above. The radiation oncology department performs simulation and 3D simulation, dosimeter, and radiation treatment procedures on oncology patients to the specifications and standards established by the department Medical Director, state, and federal regulations. This includes brachytherapy and Teletherapy (including Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy).

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Performs patient treatments utilizing ionizing radiation under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient and chart prior to start of procedure.
• Delivers accurate and consistent treatments to patients.
• Completes treatment process and coordinates patient scheduling.
