About the Position

Position Overview 

One of our Partners in New Mexico is seeking an Orthopaedic Surgeon for a flexible locum tenens opportunity offering light-volume 24-hour beeper call coverage in a community hospital setting.

Providers are not required to remain onsite and will cover orthopaedic call from 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM with a manageable workload and strong schedule flexibility. The facility anticipates recurring monthly coverage needs, making this an excellent supplemental or ongoing locums opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour orthopaedic surgery beeper call coverage
• Evaluate and manage orthopaedic consults
• Treat fractures and acute orthopaedic injuries
• Perform surgical procedures within scope of privileges
• Coordinate patient care with hospital staff and transfer facilities when needed
• Document encounters in Epic EMR
• Maintain timely response for emergent orthopaedic cases
