Controller

We are seeking a full-time Local Controller with 10+ years of overall accounting experience to become a permanent member of our San Antonio, TX team. This role requires managing the accounting functions for multiple clients throughout the San Antonio area, with construction industry experience as a plus. Responsibilities Serve as client’s trusted advisor, demonstrating knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts; proactively communicate solution options to client and team Prepare engagement deliverables (such as financial statements, technical accounting memos, account reconciliations and other work papers); assist engagement review team to ensure quality control standards are met; ensure on time delivery and on budget Demonstrate proficient technical skills for handling all client responsibilities, including knowledge of trends, industries, alternatives, etc. Understand the client’s organization, procedures and internal policies Participate in client meetings, presentations and proposal development Manage and retain multiple client relationships, engagements and special projects Responsible for billing and realization on assigned clients Supervise, train and mentor staff; listen and communicate effectively within or leading a team Foster a team environment; demonstrates support of management and decisions and build a positive culture Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Minimum of 10 years experience in progressive accounting roles, both within public accounting-audit and corporate roles.
