Description We are currently looking for aPart-Time 38 Clerkto join our Oak Hills Travel Gaming Operations Unit 5 team located at the Chickasaw Travel Stop #585. Summary Operates cash register and stocks store. Promotes signature products by providing the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities * Provides first-class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency * Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities * Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members, and customers of all types - Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment - Maintains and promotes professionalism - Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance, and other assigned work time metrics - Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards * Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines for assigned area * Sweeps, mops, dusts, vacuums, and performs basic cleaning and janitorial procedures * Cleans windows, doors, mirrors, glass partitions, baseboards, jambs, trim, and walls; maintains sanitization of restrooms; empties and cleans waste receptacles * Assists and guides customers with purchase selection - Engages potential customers and guides with selection and purchase decisions - May order catalog items if not in stock - Promotes products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales * Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received - Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received - Provides accurate change for cash purchases - Processes discounts, refunds, exchanges, coupons accurately - Balances register/terminal and completes reports for receipts and cash balance - May perform minor troubleshooting of POS - Maintains accurate cash count and assumes responsibility for any shortages at end of shift - May be responsible for confirming POS pricing updates * Audits register and change box funds by auditing account shortages and overages through the process of counting their shift bag down before and after closing out shift * Stocks inventory several times during shift by placing products on display shelf for customer availability * Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies Essential: * Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements * Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability * Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional, and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines * Able to verbally communicate professionally and positively with other team members, departments, guests, and management Skills Essential: * Vacuum cleaner, basic equipment, knowledge of carpet care * Janitorial equipment and supplies * Operate point-of-sale terminal Experience Essential: * No prior experience required Education Essential: * High School, GED, or Equivalent Credentials Essential: * Pass gaming background check * Pass general background check * Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position Working Conditions Essential: * May work where cigarette smoking occurs * Bright and flashing lights * Customer service * Retail store * Warehouse freezer/cooler * Commercial and residential vacuum * Computers, printers, phones * Point-of-sale equipment * Potential exposure to cleaning fluids and solvents * Written and verbal communication * Pass pre-employment drug test * Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach * Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp * Frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs * Moderately strenuous work * Standing up to 100% of shift * Walking up to 75% of shift * May work day shift * May work evening shift * May work holidays * May work night shift * May work rotating shifts * May work weekend shift Training *It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
