Adjunct Instructor - Graphic Design

Located 45 minutes from the Nation’s Capital, nestled in a history-rich community of southern Maryland, The College of Southern Maryland (CSM) is a two-time Aspen Award-winning institution (top 15% of Community Colleges) with academic programs in over 100 disciplines. This is an applicant pool for part-time Graphic Design faculty in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts. The areas taught by this department include: Visual Arts, Music, Theater and Dance, Digital Media Production. CSM is accepting applications on a continuous basis for the following adjunct positions at the La Plata Campus location. Graphic Design I and II. Fall and Spring Semesters; Evening availability desired, but all applicants are welcome. CSM is looking for dynamic individuals who can implement the comprehensive mission of a community college by assessing, documenting, and improving student learning through instruction. Master's degree in the discipline of instruction OR Master's in any field AND 15 hours in the discipline OR Sufficient experience in lieu of either requirement, as approved by the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Teaching experience is preferred. This person should possess enthusiasm and passion for student learning and be able to respond to the needs of students using a variety of teaching methods including new technologies.
