Assistant Principal: School Leader & Curriculum Coach

Assistant Principal Job Description Reports to the principal Experience as a middle and/or high school administrator preferred. Assist the principal with the following:

MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL

Meet with each middle and high school teachers as the school year begins to complete Professional Growth Plans (PDP). Follow up with mid-year and end-of-year reviews. Take a leadership role in guiding curriculum implementation and supervision Visit classrooms and complete teacher evaluations using NCEES Handle discipline referrals Help coordinate Family Nights for various grade levels

HIGH SCHOOL SPECIFIC

Coordinate Driver Education program: 1) 2-3 yearly classes with Chatham County Schools/NC Driving School, 2) eligibility forms, & 3) handle license revocation process Assist with Governor’s School, Summer Ventures & state Page Program applications Work with central services team on planning Commencement and other major campus events

SCHEDULING

Assist building the high school master schedule that works with CCCC class schedules and middle school electives in collaboration with central services staff and the college liaison.

PERSONNEL

Manage support staff as needed Knowledge of Infinite Campus, PowerSchool/Testing, Athletics/Operations, Technology Specialist COMMUNICATIONS (in conjunction with central services) Update the HS lobby display board or designate a the HS receptionist to do so Contribute to weekly newsletter (periodic publication for families) as needed

OTHER

Supervise middle and high school athletic events Work closely with the central services team #J-18808-Ljbffr Central Carolina Academy
