Physician Assistant | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Location: Monroeville, PA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant – Locum Opportunity Location: Monroeville, PA Start: Mid-May 2026 Duration: 6–8 Months (Ongoing Coverage) We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for a full-time locum opportunity in Monroeville, PA. This is a well-supported, high-acuity cardiac program with a balanced OR and clinical schedule — and no call requirement . Position Highlights: • 1 FTE – 20 shifts per month ( Minimum commitment: 2 weeks per month) • Monday–Friday schedule • 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts, 30-minute lunch included) • No call • Possible weekend rounding once per month (4 hours per day) Requirements Clinical Responsibilities: • OR coverage including first assist and Endoscopic Vein Harvest (EVH) • Inpatient rounding – post-op management, orders, documentation, drain & pacing wire removal, admissions & discharges • One clinic day per week – post-op visits, new consults, surgical prep & patient education Case Mix: • CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR • Approximately 150 open-heart cases annually • 6–8 patients per day Support & Facility: • Level II Trauma Center • 349-bed hospital • Collaborative team environment – other Cardiac PAs, dedicated office staff, and 1 MD daily Requirements: • Board Certified Physician Assistant • 2–3 years of cardiac surgery experience • Strong proficiency in EVH (Venapax & Maquet systems preferred) • BLS, ACLS • Active PA license (strongly preferred) • PA DEA Benefits Travel, Lodging and Malpractice Coverage.
