Long Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher (Middle and Upper School)

Villa Duchesne Sacred Heart seeks a dedicated and dynamic Long-Term Substitute Mathematics Teacher to join our Middle School (Grades 6–8) and Upper School (Grades 9–12) communities for a two-month assignment during the fall semester (mid-August through mid-October). The successful candidate will teach Pre-Algebra and Precalculus courses while fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment consistent with the mission and values of Sacred Heart education.Qualified candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (master’s degree preferred) and previous teaching experience.The ideal candidate will:Demonstrate a commitment to using a variety of instructional strategies and pedagogical approaches to support student learning.Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic growth and student confidence.Effectively integrate technology into instruction, including experience with Google Classroom.Collaborate positively with colleagues, students, and families.Uphold the mission and values of Sacred Heart education.All faculty and staff at Villa Duchesne are expected to support and advance the values articulated in the Goals and Criteria for Sacred Heart Schools in the United States–Canada.Villa Duchesne Sacred Heart Educators:Embody the attitudes of Christ’s Heart—gratitude, generosity, compassion, and forgiveness.
