About the role HealthFitness has is looking for a skilled Lifeguard to join the aquatics team at our premier client site in West Hartford, Connecticut. In this role, you'll help create a safe and welcoming aquatic environment while supporting the health and well-being of our client community. Schedule: Part‑time, 10 hours per week Weekday evenings: 3:00pm - 8:00pm And/or weekend hours: 7:45am - 12:00pm Key Accountabilities Monitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities. Enforce and explain rules as necessary. Respond appropriately to any emergency. Perform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day. Attend all required staff meetings and training. Ensure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members. Maintain a professional attitude. Other duties as needed/assigned. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 16 years old. American Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification. Meet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards. Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills. Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools. Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test. The compensation range for this role is $15 - $16.94/hour. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
