Details\n \n Acute care hospital setting within the Endoscopy department \n 75 staffed bed facility with inpatient and outpatient endoscopy center work settings \n Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30am-5:00pm \n Patient ratios of 1:1 in the procedure suite and up to 4:1 for preop and discharge \n Weekend rotation required every third weekend, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday \n Weekday on-call required Monday through Thursday \n Floating within scope to sister units may occasionally be required \n Uses Epic for charting \n Scrubs provided in navy blue \n Requirements\n \n Active SC RN license or compact license required in hand prior to start \n Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy RN experience required \n BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only) \n Epic charting experience preferred \n Experience with post-procedure care, airway management, and recovery from monitored anesthesia care sedation required \n Experience circulating for colonoscopy, EGD, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and esophageal varices/banding procedures required \n Experience with ERCP and scrub role preferred \n Familiarity with equipment such as balloon dilators, dilators, disposable grounding pads, electrosurgical units, ERBE devices, forceps, foreign body equipment, and polyp snares preferred \n Skilled in specimen handling/labeling, pre-procedure care, and starting/maintaining IVs \n Social Security number and driver's license required for consideration \n Additional Information\n \n Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure patient care, specimen handling, and IV starts \n May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, peak August-September) \n Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed \n First-time travelers may be considered depending on position needs \n Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler \n Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate; radius rule is 60 miles with non-local candidates prioritized \n Travelers should reside within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to call as needed \n All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application for consideration \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-754929.
