Summary The Customer Insights & Data Analytics Manager plays a pivotal role in analyzing customer usage data for Ryder's products to identify sales and expansion opportunities. This manager communicates with business stakeholders to understand Ryder’s products and coordinates with technical and IT teams to identify and evaluate untapped data sources. They develop plans for data ingestion, ensuring the ingested data meets the marketing team’s needs and recommending process improvements. The Manager supports the team developing deeper insights into current and potential customers, translating findings into actionable strategies that enhance customer retention, acquisition, cross‑sell opportunities, and key strategic initiatives. The role requires comprehensive big‑data management skills—including sourcing, vetting, analyzing, and reporting—and the ability to transform raw data from multiple sources into insights that drive business performance. The Manager works across the organization with key partners in Marketing, Sales, IT, and Senior Leadership to achieve successful outcomes. Essential Functions Lead the acquisition of data on the usage of technical products across the organization, assess data quality and sustainability, and conduct detailed analytics to support sales and product expansion. Elevate analytics beyond reporting and dashboards to deliver actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. Identify process gaps independently and recommend and implement improvements. Lead innovation in analytical products and new data source curation, supporting initiatives to enhance data quality, integrity, and accessibility for marketing. Engage leadership and stakeholders early to promote focused project design, greater operating efficiency, and high‑impact insights. Provide analytics and customer/experience insights at branch and unit levels. Additional Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned. Work cross‑functionally to achieve desired results. Effective written and verbal communication skills with management and IT groups. Deliver effective presentations to senior management. Work independently and as part of a team. Strong technical aptitude. Advanced knowledge of SQL, including complex query writing and data manipulation. Familiarity with programming languages and analytical tools such as Python, PowerBI, R, Databricks. Good understanding of B2B marketing concepts, practices, and challenges. Ability to derive conclusions and recommend actions to senior management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, statistics, or computer science. Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or related field (preferred). 8+ years of experience as a big‑data analyst in a Fortune 500 company or management consulting. 8+ years of experience with Excel, SQL, R/SAS or other statistical packages. Preference for experience in transportation or logistics industry. Advanced customer experience insights methods, analytics, tools, and practices. Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, R/SAS or other statistical packages. Job Category Market Research & Data Analytics Compensation Information Position is salaried with a base pay range of $130,000 to $140,000 annually. The role may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on level and performance.
