Director, Global Insights & Forecasting, Early Assets & Business Development

Director role guiding investment decisions across AstraZeneca's research and early commercial pipeline through forecasting, market modeling, and strategic insights. Position partners with senior leadership to translate scientific and market dynamics into actionable recommendations for portfolio prioritization and business development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Build early forecasts and scenario models on epidemiology, market adoption, competition, and policy impacts
- Develop patient-based forecast models integrating primary and secondary data to inform investment decisions
- Deliver commercial diligence and market models supporting in-licensing, partnerships, and acquisitions
- Design and oversee qualitative and quantitative market research through vendors
- Identify and implement AI-enabled approaches to enhance speed and scalability of insights
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline
- 5+ years pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting experience in forecasting and market insights
- Strong scientific and commercial acumen bridging technical and business perspectives
- Expertise in market access dynamics, pricing, reimbursement, and policy factors
- Excellent communication skills translating complex data for senior stakeholders
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS, or PhD in quantitative or life-sciences field)
- Respiratory and/or immunology therapeutic area expertise strongly desired
Compensation: $195,469-$293,203 base
