Senior Director, Global Oncology RWD Platform

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Director to lead the development and oversight of APOLLO, a global oncology real-world data platform. The role involves identifying data partners, designing data ingestion strategies, and generating real-world evidence to support the oncology portfolio across multiple therapeutic use cases.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential data partners for APOLLO inclusion, conducting feasibility assessments aligned with platform strategy
- Develop and execute roadmap for organizational readiness regarding real-world data ingestion and utilization
- Create communication plans and dashboards for internal stakeholders across EG2P and Global Medical Affairs
- Lead implementation strategies ensuring timely, meaningful data availability for AstraZeneca's oncology evidence needs
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and capability development while ensuring compliance with medical, business, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical industry experience with advanced degree in epidemiology, outcomes research, statistics, or related field
- Demonstrated experience building real-world data assets and generating real-world evidence
- Deep expertise in real-world research methods, HEOR projects, and pharmacoepidemiologic modeling
- Proven proficiency with data curation tools and electronic health record abstraction
- Strong communication skills in research methods and global/local real-world data applications
- PhD in health economics, public health, or related area (desirable)
- Oncology domain expertise and regulatory knowledge of real-world data generation (desirable)
Compensation: $229,047-$343,570 base annual salary
