Finance Intern

FINANCE INTERN The City of Oakwood is currently accepting applications for the fall seasonal Finance Intern position in the Finance Department. The work schedule is approximately 25-40 hours/week between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in preparing journal entries and performing general reconciliation. Help maintain accurate and organized financial records and support documentation. Answer telephones and greet customers at the front desk, including but not limited to responding to tax and billing inquiries. Maintain filing systems, including but not limited to tax returns, invoices, payment records, contract packets, payroll reports, and supporting documentation. Support the preparation of Budget schedules, charts and reports. Perform other related duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Current enrollment in or recent completion of a college-level program in accounting, finance, business, public administration, or a related field. Valid driver’s license. COMPENSATION: The current pay range is $17.60/hour to $19.80/hour, depending on experience and knowledge. HIRING PROCESS: The successful candidate will be required to complete a thorough background process, including a criminal check, credit check, physical exam, and drug screen.
