Revenue Cycle Manager

Role Overview We are hiring a full-time, on-site Revenue Cycle Manager in Defiance, Ohio. This is a newly created position designed to give dedicated ownership to revenue cycle operations as the organization continues to grow. The role combines leadership with hands-on execution. You will guide a small billing team while actively participating in the work itself. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving billing and reimbursement challenges, understands payer requirements, and can help improve processes while supporting day-to-day operations. This is not a role for someone who wants to manage from a distance. The successful candidate will be directly involved in the work, helping resolve claims issues, supporting staff, and ensuring revenue cycle processes run smoothly. Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day revenue cycle operations, including billing, payment posting, claim follow-up, collections, and denial management Review and resolve complex billing and reimbursement issues Analyze claim denials, identify recurring trends, and implement corrective actions Support accurate billing processes across registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding review, and payment posting Serve as a resource for staff on payer requirements, claim resolution, and reimbursement questions Train, mentor, and support a small revenue cycle team Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and leadership teams to improve workflows and financial outcomes Monitor revenue cycle performance and provide reporting and recommendations to leadership Maintain current knowledge of payer policies, reimbursement practices, and regulatory requirements Required Qualifications Experience in healthcare billing, reimbursement, revenue cycle operations, or a closely related function Working knowledge of claims processing, denials management, insurance billing, Medicaid, and Medicare Ability to work hands-on in billing operations rather than solely in a management capacity Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to identify issues, determine root causes, and develop practical solutions Strong communication and collaboration skills Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience Ability to successfully complete required background checks Preferred Qualifications Experience in behavioral health, community mental health, or related healthcare environments Experience with Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement in behavioral health settings Experience with denial appeals and denial reduction strategies Familiarity with managed care, payer contracts, authorizations, and reimbursement methodologies Experience working with healthcare billing systems, electronic health records, or practice management software Experience leading, mentoring, or training team members Knowledge of CPT, ICD, and HCPCS coding principles Benefits Health Insurance PTO #J-18808-Ljbffr MAUMEE VALLEY GUIDANCE CENTER INC
