Job Description

Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. This position is Full-Time and will work 8-hour Night shifts.

Under general supervision processes surgical instrumentation and supplies throughout the sterilization process using the appropriate personal protective equipment according to procedure. Maintains instruments in a clean, working condition, and stores according to instrument directory. Performs and interprets data from daily sterilizer biological monitoring, instrument sterilization and all associated documentation. Assist in training and orientation of new staff. Is proficient in required competencies.

Required Qualifications:

• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or
• Within 1 year of hire: National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
• Sterile processing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High-Level Disinfection: Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, quality control Flexible scope reprocessing.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
