Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
2. Describes product details to customers.
3. Receives and processes customer payments.
4. Serves prepared foods and baked goods including sandwiches, biscotti, muffins, or bagels.
5. Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
6. Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
7. Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
8. Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
9. Stocks supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices. Good memory to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall faces, names, and preferences of frequent patrons. Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly. Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, transport up to 30 lbs. Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. Must be available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Safety & Security:

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
