Senior Accountant

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a Senior Accountant . This position will play a key role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Support the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries. Manage accounting for prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and depreciation. Prepare account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of general ledger balances. Record and reconcile intercompany transactions. Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities. Perform variance analysis and investigate budget-to-actual fluctuations. Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements. Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations. Assist with audit requests and continuous process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred. Experience in the construction, engineering, or other project-based industries is a plus. Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation. IND4 #J-18808-Ljbffr HRB
