• Shift: 24-hour call shifts, on-site 8 hours/day during clinic hours (Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.), 8 a.m. – 8 a.m. coverage for call shifts
• Hours/Week: 40+ hours (including call)
• Employment Type: Contract / Perdiem
• License/Certifications: Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology, VA license, BLS, DEA
• Experience: Minimum 1 year
• Patient Volume: Approx. 15 patients/day, adult age 18+

What You'll Do

• Provide inpatient and outpatient Hem/Onc consultations at multiple facilities, including support for inpatient hospital rounds and clinic-based care
• Manage a patient load of approximately 15 adult hematology and oncology cases daily
• Perform assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for adult patients
• Support telehealth consults as needed during call weeks
• Collaborate with dedicated nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Document patient encounters using Epic EMR system
• Support coverage for one week of 24-hour call per month across multiple facilities, maintaining clinic responsibilities and inpatient consultations when needed

What You Need

• Active Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology
• VA state medical license (must be in hand at start date)
• BLS certification
• DEA registration
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in hematology/oncology practice
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced hospital and clinic environment
• Clean background; no settled or unresolved malpractice history
