We are seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate hospice care to patients throughout Pierce County. Care is delivered across a variety of settings, including private homes, adult family homes, assisted living communities, and skilled nursing facilities. In this role, you will coordinate and manage end‑of‑life care by addressing immediate and ongoing patient needs, managing symptoms, and ensuring each patient receives high‑quality, dignified care that aligns with their goals, values, and wishes. Collaborate with physicians, social workers, volunteers, and interdisciplinary team members to implement, coordinate, and evaluate care plans. Administer medications and therapeutic interventions to effectively manage pain and symptoms, promoting comfort and quality of life. Educate patients and families on the hospice philosophy, disease progression, symptom management, self‑care, and end‑of‑life expectations. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families experiencing grief, anxiety, or other psychosocial concerns. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation reflecting care provided and changes in patient condition. Ensure care delivery complies with Medicare guidelines, state regulations, and hospice policies and standards. Advocate for patient dignity, preferences, autonomy, and rights in all aspects of care. Respond promptly to urgent patient needs and collaborate with the on‑call team as necessary. Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Participate in scheduled weekend rotations. Requirements Current, active Washington State RN license in good standing. Active BLS certification. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Minimum 1 year nursing experience in hospice or home health preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of healthcare‑related experience required. Proficient with EMR systems and healthcare technologies. Ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative, and work independently within scope of practice. Adaptable to diverse social, cultural, and religious backgrounds. #J-18808-Ljbffr
