Were seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage end-to-end payroll processing for both union and non-union employees, with a strong focus on certified payroll, prevailing wage compliance, and union administration.
Payroll Processing Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for union and non-union employees
Accurately calculate wages, overtime, deductions, garnishments, and fringe benefits
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures Certified Payroll & Prevailing Wage Interpret and apply federal, state, and local prevailing wage regulations
Prepare and review certified payroll reports for government-funded projects
Ensure proper worker classifications and accurate fringe benefit allocations Union Payroll Administration Process union dues, benefits, and trust fund contributions
Maintain union rate tables, benefit schedules, and contract requirements
Prepare union reports and ensure timely and accurate remittances Payroll Tax Compliance Prepare and file payroll tax reports including Forms 941, 940, and W-2s
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Respond to payroll tax notices and assist with issue resolution Additional Responsibilities Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
Support internal and external audits
