Primary Care Physician for LGBTQ community

Position Summary: As a Primary Care Physician (IM/FM) at our clinic, you will play a vital role in our mission by providing comprehensive medical care to a panel of patients on an ongoing basis. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adults. Advising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings. Ordering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high-value care principles and evidence-based medicine to inform clinical decision-making. Prescribing appropriate treatments and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure. Referring patients to consultant services when necessary. Engaging in health promotion activities and recruitment efforts for the site. Qualifications: MD or DO degree and board eligible/certified. Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in internal medicine or family medicine. Current and valid NYS license. Current DEA certificate. Updated BLS and infection control certificate. Excellent bedside manner. Working knowledge of primary HIV medical care and LGBTQI care is a plus.
