Customer Service Supervisor – Industrial Distribution

An established national industrial distribution company with a facility in the Pontiac, Michigan area is currently seeking a Customer Service Supervisor for a Direct Hire opportunity with their growing team. Customer Service Supervisor compensation is anticipated to be $80,000 - $100,000 annually , based on each candidate's experience and education. All well-qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate.

Qualified Customer Service Supervisors will have most, if not all, of the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of recent customer service experience within an industrial distribution, manufacturing, or industrial products environment.
• 2+ years of recent experience leading or supervising a customer service, inside sales, or sales support team is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting industrial products, processing equipment, or technical products while providing exceptional customer service.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees while managing performance, scheduling, training, and daily operations.
• Experience improving customer service processes, tracking departmental metrics, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong background supporting outside sales teams through quotations, order management, pricing, expediting, and customer follow-up.
• Ability to resolve customer concerns, coordinate with vendors, and manage escalated issues through successful resolution.
• Experience with ERP/business systems (SAP experience is a plus) along with strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Prior industrial sales experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing , or a related field is beneficial but not essential. Equivalent industrial customer service and leadership experience will be strongly considered.
