Description

• Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric groups utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment programs that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that emphasize communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Work in harmony with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to facilitate progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and sessions, ensuring comprehensive continuity of care during the treatment process.
• Keep accurate and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies.
• Engage in continuous education and collaborative learning to stay updated with industry advancements.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days post-hiring.
