Press Brake Operator/Sheet Metal Fabricator

Description We are hiring an experienced CNC Press Brake Operator/Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our precision metal fabrication team. This role requires 3-5 years of experience operating and setting up CNC press brakes to manufacture high precision metal parts. Functional aspect of the position: This role is an opportunity for a driven machinist with a focus on setting up and operating common fabrication shop equipment such as CNC press brake, drill press, PEMserter, band saw, shear, etc. Essential Duties: Machine operation Set up job according to specifications of work order, engineering drawings and related documentation. Follows directions and produces required quantity of parts. Works on different types of equipment to carry out a particular phase of the production cycle. Must produce parts within required tolerances. Follows work order instructions, blueprint reading and geometric tolerances. Mechanical assembly. Workplace Safety and maintenance Is responsible for taking care of routine machine maintenance and keeping work area in neat condition. Proper and safe use of material handling equipment such as cranes, carts, etc. Follows all company safety rules, including machine operation and guarding. Reports/other related Maintains simple reports on work orders handled, quantities produced and quality reports. Ability to follow work order instructions, blueprint reading and geometric tolerances. Performs miscellaneous duties and participates in training as assigned by a supervisor. Other duties as requested by supervisor Compensation: $22 - $30 per hour - commensurate with experience and specialty. Requirements Position Requirements: Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or a related role preferred. Qualifications: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficiency with GD&T and metrology equipment. Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards (auditing experience a plus). Computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality systems). A keen eye for detail, solid communication skills, and a team-player mindset.
