Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech

The Radiologic Technologist/CT Tech will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in their assigned unit. The individual will assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient's needs, delivering care as outlined in departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic CT examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation.
• Exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures, applying principles of radiation protection.
• Maintain patient records and files, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Assume responsibility for departmental quality assurance programs and assist in general hygiene of the department.
• Transfer patients to and from radiology as needed.
• Rotate shifts as required and be willing to take on-call duties.
• Assist with invasive procedures and consult with referring physicians.
• Ensure compliance with SEARHC Ethics and Compliance Program.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current ARRT in Radiography or Current ARDMS in one category (Abdomen or OB/GYN)
• BLS certification required within 45 days of hire.
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years thereafter.
• Ability to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality.

Schedule

Shift may require covering day or night shifts, and on-call duties as needed.
