Solutions Engineer Manager, Associate Programs Distributed Available Location: Austin, TX About the Role As the Manager for Cloudflare’s Associate Engineer (ASE) Program, you’ll design, execute, and scale a world‑class development program that transforms early‑career talent into high‑performing technical consultants. You will lead a cohort of ASEs through a rigorous, multi‑modal journey that blends deep technical networking knowledge with sharp commercial acumen. Key Responsibilities Own the end‑to‑end ASE lifecycle, from onboarding and curriculum design to graduation into the field. Build hands‑on labs, certification paths, and competency‑based assessments that validate technical depth (Cloud, Security, Workers) and soft skills (Discovery, Demoing, MEDDPICC). Act as liaison between University Recruiting, Sales Leadership, and Global Enablement to align the program’s output with hiring needs. Provide direct management to a cohort of ASEs, offering structured feedback, career pathing, and performance coaching. Track and report on program KPIs such as Time to Productivity, graduation rates, and long‑term retention of alumni. Instill Cloudflare’s values of curiosity and collaboration into new team members. Identify and align ASEs with appropriate roles by working with leaders in Solution Engineer, BDR, Customer Success, and related areas. Requirements 5+ years of experience in Technical Enablement, Program Management, or customer‑facing technical roles (SE, SA, or Professional Services). Proven track record of building and managing “Academy‑style” programs or large‑scale technical training initiatives. 3+ years of experience with Internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS), Cloud Security, or Edge Computing. Experience creating structured learning paths and hands‑on lab environments (instructional mindset). Ability to navigate a global organization and gain buy‑in from senior Sales and Engineering leadership. 2+ years of experience managing teams or leading cross‑functional projects.
