The Role: 

The ERP & Business Systems Administrator supports the day-to-day administration, integration, and continuous improvement of OWL Services' enterprise resource planning (ERP) environment and the surrounding ecosystem of connected business applications. OWL Services' operating companies run a mix of ERP platforms, including Microsoft Dynamics GP, and this role works across the organization's operating companies, partnering with finance, operations, and IT stakeholders to ensure ERP and integrated systems are stable, secure, and effectively supporting business processes. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across multiple ERP platforms and has a strong grasp of how finance processes translate into system workflows. This position will be based out of our office in Clark ston, MI.

Responsibilities: 

ERP & Application Support

• Serve as an administrator for OWL Services' ERP system(s), supporting configuration, user access, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operational needs.
• Support the administration and upkeep of integrated business applications and modules connected to the ERP environment.
• Monitor system health, scheduled jobs, and integration processes; troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Develop, maintain, and support operational and financial reporting tied to the ERP environment.

Integration & Data Management

• Support integration points between the ERP system and connected platforms, middleware, and third-party feeds.
• Perform routine database maintenance and coordinate with IT on backups and disaster recovery posture as it relates to ERP systems.
• Investigate, document, and remediate data and integration issues; identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve data integrity.

Finance & Business Process Support

• Partner with finance and accounting teams to understand workflows and translate business/finance requirements into system configuration and process improvements.
• Act as a liaison between finance and IT, helping bridge financial process knowledge with technical system capabilities.
• Support month-end, reporting, and audit needs as they relate to ERP data and processes.
• Document system processes, configurations, and standard operating procedures.

Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement

• Actively listen to business stakeholders across OWL Services operating companies to understand pain points and operational needs.
• Surface system and process improvement opportunities to IT leadership and partner with the business to implement solutions.
• Contribute to projects involving ERP upgrades, integrations, automation, and system enhancements.
• Coordinate with internal IT/development resources, external contractors, and software vendors on support escalations and change requests.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience administering or supporting an ERP system and related business applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar).
• Solid understanding of ERP system fundamentals, including configuration, user administration, and core modules.
• Familiarity with ERP integrations and middleware concepts — how data moves between an ERP and connected systems.
• Working knowledge of finance processes (e.g., AP/AR, GL, month-end close) and how they map to system workflows.
• Basic to intermediate SQL skills — able to write queries and troubleshoot data/integration issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate technical detail for business audiences, particularly finance.
• Self-directed, organized, and comfortable supporting multiple systems and competing priorities across a multi-entity organization.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage, or Acumatica ERP platforms.
• Experience supporting reporting tools (e.g., SSRS) and integration/middleware platforms.
• Exposure to warehouse management, field service, or document management applications connected to an ERP.
• Experience working within a multi-entity or multi-subsidiary organization.
