Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care in Bakersfield, CA, United States. Start date 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,390-$2,579 per week. 40 hours per week scheduled, Days shift (8-hour shifts). Travel assignment in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
- Assess patients, develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team; participate in rounds; communicate findings to physicians, nurses and other therapists.
- Ensure adherence to state and federal licensing, certification and accrediting requirements; maintain accurate documentation in patient records.
- Deliver patient and family/caregiver education and participate in discharge planning, including referrals as appropriate.

Requirements
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in California or eligibility for licensure in the state.
- Certification as required by state/federal guidelines for practice as an SLP.
- Experience delivering diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services for communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders, preferably in an acute care or hospital-based setting.
- Ability to work in an acute care environment and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team; strong communication and documentation skills.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week on a dayshift schedule.
