Assistant Director (Program Director)

Quinipet Camp is seeking a seasonal Assistant Director for Summer 2026! Located on the beautiful shores of Shelter Island, Quinipet is a progressive Christian camp that has been welcoming campers since 1947. Grounded in our five core values—Courage, Love, Faith, Humility, and Honesty—we strive to create an inclusive, supportive environment where campers and staff can grow, try new things, and build meaningful connections. Our program includes overnight and day camp sessions, traditional activity areas such as arts, sports, and outdoor education. Position Details Dates: June 10 – August 23, 2026 Salary: $600–$800/week Private on-site housing provided What You’ll Do As Assistant Director, you’ll play a key role in the daily operations of camp. Working closely with our Executive Director, you will help ensure camp runs safely and effectively. Responsibilities include Supervising and supporting seasonal staff Coordinating and overseeing daily camp programming Communicating with families, campers, and staff Assisting with administrative tasks and logistics Helping ensure a safe, fun, and high-quality camp experience Qualifications Age 21+ Previous summer camp experience required Experience supervising or leading staff required Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Valid driver’s license preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center
