Safety Manager

We're working with a well-established mechanical contractor looking to bring on an experienced Safety Manager to lead and elevate their safety programs. This role sits at the heart of operations, partnering with leadership and field teams to drive a proactive safety culture across multiple job sites. Key Responsibilities Lead safety initiatives across multiple projects and locations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal standards Conduct audits, site inspections, and risk assessments, providing clear recommendations to mitigate hazards Develop and deliver safety training programs, ensuring consistent understanding across field teams and subcontractors Maintain and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and documentation Partner with leadership to drive safety strategy and improve overall performance metrics Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions Oversee safety reporting, presentations, and communication to senior leadership Support hiring, development, and performance management of safety personnel What They're Looking For 8+ years of experience in environmental health and safety, ideally within construction, mechanical, or industrial environments Experience leading safety programs across multiple sites or regions Strong understanding of OSHA and other relevant safety regulations (NFPA, EPA, DOT) Prior experience managing or mentoring safety professionals Ability to influence teams in both office and field environments Strong communication skills with the ability to engage all levels of an organization OSHA certifications (10, 30, or 500) CHST, ASP, or similar professional credentials CPR / First Aid certification Why Join Opportunity to step into a visible leadership role with real influence over safety strategy and culture Backing from a stable, growing business with a strong project pipeline Clear opportunity to build and develop a team rather than just maintain existing processes Exposure to senior leadership and the ability to impact business-wide performance Long-term progression into more senior safety or operational leadership roles Strong emphasis on employee development and continuous improvement across the business Desired Skills and Experience Must have experience in mechanical construction #J-18808-Ljbffr
