Job Description

We are seeking a  Buyer to join our dynamic team on a hybrid schedule with two days onsite. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in  procurement, supplier relationship management, and commodity strategy and a proven ability to  negotiate contracts, reduce cost, and drive quality, cost, and delivery improvements across the supply base . You will develop and implement global external supplier and commodity strategies with stakeholder engagement to enhance competitive and commercial performance. You will operate within the supply chain management and purchasing teams across the full product and service life cycle to ensure supplier commercial issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Support and/or lead key contract negotiations, including cost analyses and terms and conditions.
• Manage work queue, including sourcing of parts and services, and creation and administration of purchase documents.
• Oversee supplier operations and relationships within assigned commodity groups.
• Drive cost reduction and cost management initiatives to meet company targets.
• Support and/or lead development and execution of commodity strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Associate degree with 4+ years of operational, procurement, or logistical experience; or
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of operational, procurement, or logistical experience; or
• Master's degree; or JD/PhD; or
• 6+ years of operational, procurement, or logistical experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous procurement experience supporting government programs.
• Technical aptitude to interpret specifications and requirements.
• Purchasing experience in a global environment.
• SAP experience.
