Software Developer RPMS/MUMPS

Salary: $73,000 - 113,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering or engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance from an accredited college or university.
• We require eight years of experience, including at least six years of specialized experience in healthcare information technology system design and development.
• We expect general experience in requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
• We require the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• We prefer 15+ years of software development experience.
• We value substantial, progressive experience with FileMan/M (MUMPS) programming.
• We prefer experience working with multidisciplinary teams to build and support clinical applications within the IHS Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS).
• We value hands-on experience with system design, software development, implementation, training, and end-user support for clinical applications.
• We prefer strong software design, development, testing, and deployment experience.
• We prefer experience analyzing and debugging FileMan/M source code in support of deployed software.
• We value familiarity with VA and IHS environments, RPMS, or legacy VISTA.
• We prefer demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
• We value understanding of Agile practices and the associated QA lifecycle.
• We prefer proven success working on remote or distributed teams.
• We value working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps.

• We develop and recommend technical solutions that help meet client needs and address moderately complex software issues.
• We apply analytical and engineering-driven problem solving aligned with IHS standards and conventions.
• We perform secure systems engineering and development using technical and analytical expertise.
• We design test scenarios for functional and regression testing of complex software solutions.
• We investigate and resolve support tickets submitted by end users.
• We work with a distributed team to solve challenging software problems.
• We support clinical applications built on MUMPS/FileMan within the Resource and Patient Management System (RPMS).
