Job Description
Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80906 Pay: $18.00/hour Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM Job Type: Full-Time Temporary Approximately 2 Months Job Description: Job Store Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Cashier / Payment Processing Clerk to assist with daily payment processing, cashiering, account transactions, and customer service. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2 months. Responsibilities: Receive and process cash, checks, credit card payments, and other payments. Accurately record and apply payments to the appropriate accounts. Prepare and process daily deposits. Balance daily payment batches and reconcile deposits. Research and resolve payment or account discrepancies. Verify account information and payment codes for accuracy. Process checks, vouchers, and other accounting documents. Maintain accurate payment records, logs, and files. Assist customers with billing and payment questions. Explain payment options, account balances, and applicable policies. Communicate with internal departments to resolve payment issues. Verify customer information and proper identification when processing transactions. Maintain proper cash-handling procedures and accurate cash balances. Provide general administrative and payment-processing support as needed. Follow established policies, procedures, and financial guidelines. Requirements: Previous cashier, customer service, payment processing, accounting, or office experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic math skills and comfort handling financial transactions. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to accurately handle cash, checks, and other payments. Ability to research and resolve discrepancies. Organized and able to maintain accurate records. Professional and dependable. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
