Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $26.00–$32.00 per hour , based on experience and credentials.

Schedule

• Full-time
• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• No weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' treatment needs.
• Provide individual, and group counseling sessions focused on substance use recovery.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor client progress and modify treatment interventions as needed.
• Facilitate psychoeducational, recovery, and relapse prevention groups.
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals when necessary.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and available community resources.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries, and other required records in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Ensure compliance with COMAR regulations, Maryland behavioral health standards, HIPAA, and organizational policies.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and continuing education activities.

Qualifications

Preferred Licensure/Certification

Applicants with one or more of the following Maryland credentials are encouraged to apply:

• CAC-AD
• CSC-AD
• ADT
• LGPC
• LCPC
• LMSW
• LCSW-C
• LGADC
• LCADC
• Other equivalent Maryland behavioral health licensure or certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing substance use disorder (SUD) treatment in an outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), residential, or behavioral health setting.

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong assessment, counseling, and treatment planning abilities.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally responsive approach to client care.
• Ability to establish therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
