Job Description

The Contract Recruiter supports a North American Talent Acquisition team during a period of increased hiring volume and evolving coverage needs. This role manages a diverse portfolio of requisitions through the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering closely with hiring teams to attract, assess, and hire talent across general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and corporate functions. The recruiter balances proactive sourcing with candidate pipeline management to ensure a strong flow of qualified applicants and a smooth, professional candidate experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage approximately 20 or more requisitions at a time across multiple functions, including general labor, warehouse, manufacturing, mill work, supply chain, engineering, and corporate roles.

• Own the full-cycle recruiting process from intake and job posting through sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, feedback collection, offer facilitation, and candidate closure.

• Partner directly with hiring managers to understand role requirements, define candidate profiles, and align on recruiting strategies and timelines.

• Schedule and lead recurring status meetings with hiring managers to review pipeline progress, share market insights, and gather timely feedback and debriefs on candidates.

• Maintain a strong and consistent candidate flow by proactively sourcing when pipelines are light and efficiently facilitating candidates already in process through interviews and decision stages.

• Manage candidate stages and workflows in the applicant tracking system (ATS), ensuring accurate documentation, timely updates, and adherence to recruiting processes.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle, providing updates, managing expectations, and reinforcing a positive employer brand.

• Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment with limited ramp-up time, quickly learning new roles and adjusting to changing priorities and hiring needs.

• Collaborate closely with the broader Talent Acquisition team, including commercial and supply chain recruiters, to share best practices and align on recruiting priorities.

• Support primarily U.S.-based recruiting needs, focusing on sales and corporate functions initially and then transitioning to supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering recruiting.

• Apply strong organization, follow-up, and process-management skills to keep requisitions on track and ensure timely hiring decisions.

• Leverage Workday Recruiting and other major ATS platforms to manage requisitions, track candidates, and generate reports as needed.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated full-cycle recruiting experience, managing requisitions from intake through offer acceptance.

• Proven ability to effectively manage approximately 20 or more requisitions at one time.

• Experience recruiting across multiple functions, ideally including general labor, manufacturing, warehouse, and mill work opportunities.

• Strong understanding of recruiting workflows and candidate stage management within an ATS environment.

• Ability to proactively source candidates when pipelines are light and to efficiently facilitate candidates already in process.

• Comfort partnering directly with hiring managers, including requesting and leading recurring status meetings, feedback sessions, and debriefs.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to both candidates and hiring teams.

• Excellent organization, follow-up, and process-management skills to handle a high volume of requisitions and candidates.

• Ability to operate in a fast-moving environment with limited ramp-up time and changing priorities.

• Experience using Workday Recruiting.

• Experience with major ATS platforms such as SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, or similar systems.

• Prior corporate recruiting experience.

• Experience recruiting for engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, or technical operations roles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience that includes both agency and corporate recruiting is ideal, bringing a blend of consultative and in-house recruiting perspectives.

• Comfort recruiting for technical, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain roles without being intimidated by complex position requirements.

• Talent acquisition and recruitment experience in a North American context.

• Experience working within human resources and talent acquisition teams.

• Familiarity with hiring processes and best practices across sales, corporate, and operational functions.

• Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders in multiple locations.

• Adaptability to shift focus from sales and corporate recruiting to supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering recruiting as business needs evolve.

Work Environment

This role operates within a flexible hybrid work model, with approximately two to three days onsite per week depending on location. The recruiter primarily works from a headquarters office in Philadelphia and travels to a facility in Dover, DE once per week to build and maintain strong relationships with local hiring managers. The position supports U.S.-based roles and collaborates closely with commercial and supply chain recruiting partners within a dynamic Talent Acquisition team. The work environment is fast-paced and growth-oriented, with evolving hiring needs across sales, corporate, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and technical operations functions. The recruiter uses Workday Recruiting and other major ATS platforms such as SuccessFactors or Cornerstone, operating in a professional office setting that encourages regular communication, partnership, and continuous development.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
