Job Details Specialty: Med/Surg Observation Unit Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Setting: Acute care hospital Location: Albany, GA 31701 Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Hours per Week: 36 Duration: 24 weeks Start Date: 08/31/2026 Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Charting System: MEDITECH Orientation: 3 shifts Floating: May float to Med/Surg Job Requirements Active RN license required At least 1 year of nursing experience required, including at least 1 travel nursing assignment Current BLS certification required NIHSS certification required ACLS preferred Comfort working in a heavy telemetry environment Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Med/Surg or observation unit with frequent admissions and discharges Experience with lab draws and EKGs preferred Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care for observation and Med/Surg patients Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition Perform admissions, discharges, and patient flow support in a high-turnover acute care unit Administer medications and manage heparin drips as ordered Complete EKGs and draw labs as needed Collaborate with the charge nurse, house supervisor, and interdisciplinary care team Deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital environment Apply now for this Travel RN job in Albany, Georgia, and join a healthcare team where your Med/Surg and telemetry experience can shine.
