This role will be full-time; 3-12-hour shifts (Monday-Friday); 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM; with rotating weekends and holidays. If RN has an Associate's Degree, within 2 years of date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date.Experience : Experience assessing and placing peripheral access including Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC), Midline Catheters, and Peripheral IV'sCertifications : Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association; VA-BC certification must be obtained within 15 months of hire. This timeframe includes the one year of experience required for board eligibility and the 90-day period to obtain certification after meeting the minimum eligibility requirements.Licenses : Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse licensePreferred Qualifications :Experience : Experience with PICC and midline placement; comfortable using ultrasound guidance for vascular access.
