Position Overview:

Our nursing staff collaborates within dynamic interdisciplinary teams, emphasizing a patient-centered care approach in a diverse work environment. Under the guidance and general oversight of the Nurse Manager, registered nurses apply evidence-based practices in line with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and directives from the medical team. Utilizing their expertise, registered nurses develop care plans that address the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and their families.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with the nursing process and customer service principles is essential. National certification in a specialty area is preferred. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is advantageous. IV skills are a plus. Proficiency in a second language is also preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current certification in BLS is required or must be obtained within the first three months of employment. ACLS certification is mandatory for ED, CCU, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endo, and is strongly recommended for staff cross-trained in these areas. NNR certification is required for OB.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a valid CT RN license and be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.
