We are a high-volume, fast-paced, oceanfront restaurant with an award-winning kitchen that is looking for experienced Line Cooks to join our team! As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, ensuring menu items meet presentation and quality standards, maintaining a clean kitchen environment, monitoring ingredient quality, and managing stock levels efficiently, among other duties.Responsibilities Line Cook responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Cook food in various utensils or grillers
- Check food while cooking to stir or turn
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check quality of ingredients
- Monitor stock and stock products when there are shortages
- Other duties as assigned
- Prior Line Cook experience
- Responsibility, reliability, and honesty
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, coworkers and supervisors
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
