Location: Remote (U.S.)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

• Training: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM CT
• Production: 10:00 AM–7:30 PM CT
  Pay Rate: $20.00/hour (W2)
  Type: Contract (long-term)

About the role

We’re hiring Remote Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technicians to support a high-volume prior authorization environment. In this role, you’ll handle inbound requests and provide professional, courteous support while ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with required guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, and members related to prior authorization requests
• Accurately document reviews and maintain timely, complete records
• Escalate clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist team
• Support additional work as needed, including outbound calls, fax/ePA processing, and monitoring shared mailboxes
• Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding determination status and next steps
• Maintain strict confidentiality of PHI and follow all applicable privacy standards

Required qualifications

• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication and phone skills (professional, courteous demeanor)
• Ability to multitask across multiple systems and applications at once
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel; other Office tools a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation habits
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime/extended work week as needed

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience in a call center, healthcare, pharmacy, PBM, or customer service setting
• Pharmacy technician license or national certification (preferred, not required)

Remote/work-from-home requirements

• Ability to work independently in a private workspace
• Hardwired internet that meets minimum requirements (speed test proof may be requested)
